My energetic mat class finds its base in Pilates principles, but throws additional elements such as conditioning, somatic exercises and mobility training into the mix.
We first soften our bodies and create heat through breathing exercises, advance to Pilates core and stability work before challenging our aerobic endurance and finish with stretching. Set to music, this an intimate group class with up to six participants.
Pilates & ELDOA™
The ELDOA™ method is a unique technique of myofascial stretching designed to create more space in the body. In this method, developed by an Osteopath, specific postures for various segments of the spine are undertaken and held for a new type of stretching experience. Paired with pilates, this is a rehabilitative class well-suited for those with back pain or contraindications.
